TDS Apps Studio ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Khatalytics mobile application. This Privacy Policy is designed to inform you of our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal and financial information we receive from users of our application.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We process your data in accordance with applicable laws, including Indian IT Act regulations, and Google Play developer policies.

1. Information Collection and Use

To provide a functional ledger and bookkeeping experience, the application collects and processes the following information:

• Account Information: If you sign in using Google Sign-In, we collect your basic profile details, including your Google Account email and unique user identifier. This is used solely to authenticate your access to your synced database.
• Financial & Transaction Data: The app processes transaction records you enter manually, including income and expense amounts, descriptions, categories, payment sources, and dates.
• App Settings & Metadata: User preferences such as local currency settings, dark mode preferences, and local budget limit configurations are stored locally on your device.
• Billing Data: For premium subscriptions, billing transaction metadata and receipt details are processed via the Google Play Billing Library to check subscription status. We do not store or process your credit card or payment credentials.

2. Data Storage & Hybrid Sync Options

Khatalytics is designed with user control at its core. We offer a hybrid storage model:

• Local Storage (Offline): By default, all of your transaction records, categories, and account ledgers are stored offline in a secure SQLite database on your device. This data is private and remains solely on your physical device.
• Cloud Synchronization (Firebase Firestore): If you choose to enable the "Firestore Sync" toggle in the Settings fragment of the app, your transaction and profile data will be securely backed up and synchronized to Google Firebase Firestore. This allows you to securely access your data if you switch devices.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We utilize trusted third-party services to deliver authentication, storage, and billing services. These services handle data in compliance with their respective privacy policies:

• Google Firebase Authentication: Handles secure Google user login and profile authentication.
• Google Cloud Firestore: Provides encrypted database synchronization and hosting.
• Google Play Billing: Manages subscription validation and transaction status.

4. Security and Data Protection

The security of your personal and financial information is important to us. We implement industry-standard safeguards to protect your data:

• All cloud-based communications and synchronizations are performed over secure, encrypted HTTPS protocols.
• You can lock and protect access to the app on your phone using our integrated biometric verification (fingerprint or face unlock).
• Firebase Firestore data is protected by strict security rules that ensure only your authenticated account can read or write your personal financial ledger.

5. Data Retention and Deletion (Account Deletion)

We retain your synchronized data as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your data, you can do so in two ways:

• Clear All Data In-App: You can use the "Clear All Transactions" option in the settings menu of the app to instantly delete all local records. If Firestore Sync is enabled, this will also clear the records from our Firebase database.
• Manual Deletion Request: If you wish to delete your entire cloud sync account and associated profile data, you may email us directly at dhaval.soneji2016@gmail.com. We will process your deletion request within 7 business days.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this policy periodically for any updates.
