Terms of Service

Welcome to Khatalytics. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Khatalytics mobile application ("App") provided by TDS Apps Studio ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. User License & Restrictions

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any compatible Android device that you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business bookkeeping purposes.

You agree not to:

• Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App.
• Use the App for any illegal, unauthorized, or fraudulent activities.
• Circumvent or attempt to bypass any security restrictions, licensing controls, or subscription checks within the App.

2. Google Account Registration

To use certain features of the App, such as cross-device cloud synchronization, you must sign in using your Google Account via Firebase Authentication. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account and for all activities that occur under your login credentials.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Khatalytics offers a premium tier under a paid subscription model. These services are billed and managed via Google Play Billing:

• Subscription Options: You may purchase a Monthly Subscription (₹29 / month) or a Yearly Subscription (₹299 / year) as advertised within the App.
• Free Trials: We may offer a 7-day free trial on the Yearly Plan. You will not be charged if you cancel the subscription through your Google Play account settings at least 24 hours before the free trial period ends.
• Automatic Renewals: All subscriptions are auto-renewing. Your Google Play account will be automatically charged for renewal at the then-current price within 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle.
• Cancellations: You can manage or cancel your subscriptions at any time through the Google Play Store subscription management center. Cancellations will take effect at the end of the current active billing period, and no partial refunds are provided.

4. Data Loss & Backups Disclaimer

By default, Khatalytics stores your bookkeeping entries locally in a secure SQLite database on your device. We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from hardware failure, app uninstallation, device loss, or manual database clearing.

To mitigate data loss risks, you are strongly encouraged to:

• Regularly export and save your data as CSV or PDF documents using our export tools.
• Enable the "Firestore Sync" toggle in the Settings fragment to back up your data in real-time to our secure Firebase Firestore cloud database.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from bugs or errors.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TDS Apps Studio and Dhaval Soneji shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenues, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the App.
• Any discrepancies, errors, or inaccuracies in accounting calculations or tax estimations performed using the App's budgeting tools.
• Any unauthorized access to, or loss of, your synchronized cloud data.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal actions or proceedings arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
